DataVisor launches new tools to build insights into fraud attacks

DataVisor, a fraud protection platform which utilises AI technology, has launched a new tool to generate insights into fraud patterns.

The launch, which was part of the company’s Fall Release, will help customers to gain an insight into fraud and abuse that is impacting their business.

DataVisor Threat Insights Dashboard delivers charts and visualisations which provide customers with insights into fraud trends and any hidden connections across their user accounts.

The platform is powered by a machine learning software which detects unknown attacks and will help to educate clients and give a real-time view of any attack patterns. It is also able to track any developing malicious accounts to help provide details of how attacks grow and evolve.

Its dashboard outlines the top trends and fraud attacks, and delivers stats such as the number of malicious accounts or events. Users can configure the insights to be sorted by attack category, geography, activity type and more.

Alongside this, customers can now view a history of all malicious accounts including the ones which triggered the detection.

Some of the other new features to be deployed include enhanced fraud reporting tools which empowers users to configure scheduled or on-demand reports with filters and alerts.

The company also boosted its fraud detection algorithm, so its click fraud detection engine can better identify click-initiated fraud.

DataVisor CEO and co-founder Yinglian Xie said, “Fraud prevention continues to be reactionary, relying on knowledge from historic fraud patterns. Fraudsters are more nimble – they evolve their techniques faster than organizations can update their fraud tools.

“Organizations need to re-think their fraud strategy, recognizing and understanding emerging patterns so they can stay ahead of the fraudsters. This is exactly what our new capabilities enable.”

At the start of the year, the RegTech company pulled in $40m in its Series C round which was led by Sequoia Capital.
