Sigma Ratings, an automated relationship risk management firm, has continued its leadership shakeup with the appointment of Randal Skipper as its chief revenue officer.
Skipper will support the go-to-market teams by providing leadership for sales, marketing and customer success. He will also work closely with the leadership team to support Sigma Ratings’ growth through 2023 and beyond.
Commenting on the role, Skipper said, “The reason I joined Sigma is to get the opportunity to work with a very talented team that has a relentless focus on delivering efficiencies in KYC and other regulatory processes.
“We all know that efficiency is critical for risk and compliance teams, but too often, organizations are using legacy tools that can overcomplicate workflows and waste valuable time. The ability to consolidate screening, monitoring and investigations into one cloud-based platform that can be deployed within hours is a game-changer for our customers.”
Skipper has gained over 25 years of experience directly managing various corporate functions across each major category of technology. He has held a leadership role at BAE Systems, led acquisitions at SilverSky and MessageLabs, and launched a successful IPO at Marimba.
Sigma Ratings CEO Stuart Jones, Jr. said, “We are thrilled to welcome Randal to Sigma to lead our sales efforts.
“His senior-level leadership experience with BAE North America and FinScan, both as a sales leader and chief executive, will be enormously helpful as we scale our global operations and deliver increasing value to our clients and prospects.”
Last month, the company named Alexandre de Villiers as its chief of staff. In this role, de Villiers is helping Sigma Ratings to head operations, drive strategy and implement processes to support its business goals.
Additionally, he will take the lead on daily operations and provide data-driven insights to ensure strong cohesion among senior leaders. By taking this lead, Sigma Ratings’ co-founders Stuart Jones, Jr. and Gabrielle Haddad can focus on high-level initiatives and partnerships.
Sigma Ratings has built an AI-powered platform to identify, screen, monitor and review clients and their relationships against a cloud-native risk intelligence database.
