Living Security, a cybersecurity training platform, has raised $1.25m in its seed round of funding.
The investment was led by Active Capital and also received contributions from Cathexis Ventures and Capital Factory.
Texas-based Living Security aims to help boost awareness around cybersecurity by implementing an ‘engaging and gamified security awareness program’. With most incidents occurring after human error, the platform launches gamified experiences which reinforce positive security behaviours.
Its technology integrates with threat intelligence and is able to give enterprises a human risk dashboard and view their security awareness among its staff. Currently, the company is working with more than 50 companies.
There is a virtual escape room and a physical escape room, with both requiring the team to solve puzzles. The rooms are based around the organisation’s specifications, requirements, restrictions and focus area.
With the fresh line of funding, Living Security is looking to further its product growth and boost its go-to-market execution.
Living Security CEO Ashley Rose said, “We are excited to scale our products and grow the impact of our mission to help organizations combat cyber threats through immersive and impactful security awareness training experiences.”
Following the round close, Active Capital founder and CEO Pat Matthews will join the Living Security board of directors.
This investment has come just a couple of months after the company raised $500,000 in a round led by Active Capital and Cathexis Ventures.
