Living Security collects seed funding for cybersecurity training product

Living Security, a provider of cybersecurity awareness and training, has closed a $500,000 seed funding round.

The round was led by Active Capital and Cathexis Ventures, with participation from  A Pipeline Angels investment. Living Security said it will use the financing for product development, go-to-market execution, and team expansion.

“The addition of these strategic investments and advisors has accelerated our growth in preparation for the launch of our Cyber Escape Security Awareness training platform,” said Ashley Rose, CEO of Living Security. “We are grateful for their faith, support, expertise, and connections that are critical to our mission of helping organizations combat cyber threats through immersive and impactful Security Awareness training experiences.”

Living Security provides security awareness training via their original product, the Living Security Escape Room, which reached thousands of people all over the U.S.

The company’s science-based approach aims to drive user engagement and reinforce positive security behaviors, integrate threat intelligence to train on the most relevant user-facing threats and deliver metrics that enable companies to measure the effectiveness of the program.

Living Security Escape Room is an interactive game where groups of people are locked in a room and have to solve puzzles and find clues to escape, all within a set time period. Plot design and game play are based on an organisation’s specifications, requirements, restrictions, and focus areas, which includes insider threat, corporate espionage, email threats, web threats, sabotage, DDoS, hactivism, cybercrime, clean desk, and whistle blower, among others.

It also provides Cyber Escape, an intelligence-driven security awareness training platform that leverages gamified learning and gamification.
