Hedge fund brings in Eze Software to streamline office workflows

QQQ Capital, a Singapore-based long-term value hedge fund manager, is set to use Eze Software to automate its operations and streamline its front-to-back investment workflows.

The hedge fund said it required a robust automated risk management approach to monitor and comply with regulations, stock restrictions, limits on equity weights and investor guidelines. So it has turned to the Eze Investment Suite, which will support pre-trade and post-trade risk management and compliance, performance and risk/return analysis.

“When we set out to look for a technology partner, Eze Software stood out with a dynamic, robust and scalable solution that will help us streamline our front-to-back-office workflows, from pre-trade compliance, real-time analytics, trading, shadow accounting, and fully audited books and records,” said Zhou Wang, QQQ Capital head of investor relations. “We look forward to working with a reputable and agile partner to help us set up our operations.”

Eze Software provides investment management software, which it claims maximises efficiencies across order management, trade execution & analytics, portfolio analytics & modelling, compliance & regulatory reporting, commission management, and portfolio & investor accounting.

Its solutions automate and integrate compliance checks across the investment lifecycle, monitor compliance on trades ,  schedule post-trade compliance runs, simplify your compliance alert investigations and aggregate data required for complex regulatory filings. Buy-side firms use its trade and portfolio compliance solution to keep them in line with complex industry regulations and heightened scrutiny and increasing requirements from investors.

On January 3, 2018, the second Markets in Financial Instrument Directive and the associated regulation MiFIR will take hold across the industry. The requirements mean organisations will need a front-office solution that can interface with 3rd parties for reporting, a system capable of providing in-depth Best Ex analysis, and a commission management tool robust enough to handle broad inducement requirements. Eze Software also claims to provide the solutions to help tackle these challenges and stay compliant. The Boston-based company has been ‘driving innovation in financial technology’ for the past 20 years, having partnered with more than 2,500 buy- and sell-side institutions in 45 countries.

QQQ Capital Pte Ltd. was founded in June 2017 with the goal of managing hedge funds to deliver long-term investor value through fundamental research and critical analysis. Its first QQQ Capital Feeder Fund will be focusing on technology, education and tourism sector.
