Security On-Demand nabs a $2.16m grant to support the development of big data analytics

San Diego-based Security On-Demand, a cyber threat detection and log analytics service, has received a $2.16m grant from the National Center for Research and Development.

This extra cash will help the company bolster the development of its big data analytics technology and support the deployment of its services in the industry. The RegTech company also plans to create new managed threat detection and response capabilities.

The company’s AQ Technology offers scalable big data analytics that identifies and maps anomalies within data, whilst maintaining a 2% storage footprint of the raw dataset. Its services are used by hundreds of businesses around the world to detect threats, reduce the risk and mitigate the impact of a data breach.

Security On-Demand CEO Peter Bybee said, “We are grateful for the opportunity we’ve been given to use our AQ Technology core to commercialize a ground-breaking, new approach to cyber threat detection.

“The grant funding will allow us to innovate and build exciting new threat analytics capabilities, while investing in our amazing team of data scientists, mathematicians, and software developers in Warsaw, Poland.”
