RunSafe Security, a CyberTech known for its unique software immunization process, has completed a $12m Series B financing round.
This recent capital infusion was spearheaded by Critical Ventures and SineWave Venture Partners, alongside a coalition of both new and returning investors including BMW i Ventures, Working Lab Capital, Lockheed Martin Ventures, HyperLink Ventures, Iron Gate Ventures, Alsop Louie Partners, and NextGen Venture Partners.
The company is celebrated for its patented technology that fortifies software against cyberattacks, mitigating threats across vital systems without the need for developers to modify existing code. This funding is set to accelerate the development of new products and facilitate RunSafe’s expansion into the EMEA and APAC regions.
RunSafe’s strategy focuses on enhancing cyber resilience by preempting attacks on both known and unknown vulnerabilities, crucial at a time when the US Government and European Union are intensifying their cybersecurity mandates. The investment will support RunSafe’s mission to extend its protective reach globally, safeguarding critical infrastructure from pervasive cyber threats.
Joe Saunders, CEO of RunSafe, highlighted the timely nature of this investment, stating, “This investment round will enable us to accelerate the rollout of our innovative solution to prevent attacks targeting both known and unknown vulnerabilities across critical infrastructure even when a patch is not available and without the need to rewrite a single line of code.”
Heitor Benfeito, Managing Partner at Critical Ventures, praised the company’s proactive approach: “RunSafe Security is leading the charge to protect our critical systems from global threats that are infiltrating our infrastructure through devastating memory-based vulnerabilities in software.”
Moreover, Kasper Sage of BMW i Ventures emphasized the importance of advancing safety measures, “Memory attacks pose an increasing threat to embedded systems within connected devices. RunSafe Security’s cybersecurity technology immunizes memory-based systems from unknown vulnerabilities and future attacks.”
RunSafe has notably tripled its revenue annually in recent times, reflecting the growing demand for its solutions. The firm boasts significant adoption by industry leaders such as Vertiv, Lockheed Martin, and U.S. military branches, which underlines the effectiveness and growing footprint of its cybersecurity technologies.
