Rezilion, a cloud workload protection service, has netted $8m in a seed round of funding.
The capital injection was led by Jerusalem Venture Partners, with additional support coming from Kindred Capital, LocalGlobe, Samsung Next and a series of angel investors.
With these fresh funds, the cybersecurity startup plans to extend its R&D team in Israel and build sales operations and support in the US.
Rezilion is an autonomous cloud workload protection platform which helps businesses protect their infrastructure. Its solutions include dynamic whitelisting and application control, hardening and vulnerability management, exploit prevention and memory protection, and change control and access management.
The service needs no human configuration and automatically returns compromised services back to its known-good state, enabling DevOps to continue their work.
Rezilion CEO and co-founder Liran Tancman said, “Rezilion empowers developers by baking protection into existing DevOps tools so they don’t have to be ‘policed’ by security teams. To achieve this, we are partnering with leading DevOps and cloud platforms in order to seamlessly weave security into the operational fabric.
“Our goal is to enable security teams to focus their time and energy on fire prevention instead of firefighting, knowing that resilience is directly integrated into the infrastructure and automatically mitigating issues in real-time. Our partnership with Chef is a big step toward realizing this vision.”
Last year, Jerusalem Venture Partners led the $8m funding round of data science solution cnvrg.io. Financial institutions use cnvrg to improve their customer predictions or their risk mitigation.
