OpenWay integrates with Gemalto to improve digital payment security

Digital payment processor OpenWay has integrated its services with Gemalto SafeNet to improve the security of digital payments.

OpenWay has combined its WAY4 payment processing platform with the Gemalto SafeNet Payment Hardware Security Module (Luna EFT 2). By doing this, processors, card issuers and merchant acquirers already using this hardware security module will not need to invest in additional cryptographic infrastructure when migrating to WAY4.

The Gemalto SafeNet solution, which is PCI-HSM certified, offers broad payment security services and encryption solutions. Its services help to secure transactions from credit and debit cards, e-wallets, mobile payment applications and contactless transactions.

Its tools can be used for data encryption, data protection, PKI credential management, authentication and online security, among others.

The WAY4 payments solution is an onpen, omni-channel digital payment and card processing platform. It supports digital wallets, private label and branded card issuing, as well as merchant acquiring, financial switching and channel management.

OpenWay CTO Dmitry Yatskaer said, “Seamless security of transactions is on top of mind for our customers. For many years OpenWay has been relying on the skills and expertise of the Gemalto’s payment security team, and now we’ve extended the range of compatible HSM devices with the SafeNet Luna Payment HSM.

“Our collaboration with Gemalto enables our customers to explore new business opportunities, such as online and mobile payments, in a more secure and cost-efficient way.”
