Oasis Security clinches $40m for cutting-edge non-human identity solutions

Oasis Security, a trailblazer in the Non-human Identity Management (NIM) sector, has successfully secured a substantial $40m in funding.

This significant financial injection was led by the renowned Sequoia Capital, with notable contributions from Accel, Cyberstarts, and Maple Capital. The funding round also saw participation from industry stalwarts like Guy Podjarny, the founder of Snyk, and Michael Fey, the Co-Founder and CEO of Island.

This investment comes at a critical time, as the number of non-human identities, such as service accounts, secrets, and API keys, continues to escalate rapidly within the hybrid and multi-cloud environments of organisations. These non-human identities, outnumbering human identities by a staggering 50 to 1, pose not only a security challenge but also operational complexities. With such identities having broader access to sensitive data, they become prime targets for malicious entities.

Oasis Security Co-founder and CEO Danny Brickman explained, “Shifts in infrastructure and workloads have completely changed the identity stack. Non-human identities have grown exponentially and become the weak link in enterprise cybersecurity.

“The compromise of a single service account or token could allow a malicious actor to delete an entire cloud environment. Traditional human identity and secrets management tools can’t handle the scale and complexity of non-human identities, leaving most organizations flying blind and severely exposed. Oasis delivers a comprehensive yet easy-to-use solution that allows growth and security to go hand-in-hand.”

The platform devised by Oasis Security is the first of its kind, specifically engineered to automate the entire lifecycle of non-human identities. Renowned for its simplicity and seamless integration capabilities with major cloud and on-premise identity sources, Oasis Security offers comprehensive visibility and in-depth contextual insights into each non-human identity. Its innovative Oasis Posture & Remediation Intelligence (PRI) module is instrumental in identifying vulnerabilities, prioritising critical issues, and generating effective remediation plans, thereby significantly reducing incident detection and resolution time.
