iSubscribed acquires Intersections to boost cybersecurity protections

WC SACD One, a group made of iSubscribed, WndrCo and General Catalyst has acquired identity theft protection platform Intersections.

The completed merger means all shares not validly tendered in the tender offer were cancelled and converted into the right to receive $3.68 per share, the company said. The company’s stock is no longer being traded on the NASDAQ.

As part of the deal, iSubscribed CEO and founder Hari Ravichandran has been made the CEO of Intersections.

Intersections solution has been integrated with iSubscribed and will offer a complete digital threat protection platform under its Intrusta brand.

As the combined entity, they will leverage technology to help consumers manage cybersecurity measures, including digital threat protection. Instrusta is a suite of enterprise-grade security solutions which are powered by AI technology to protect consumers from malware, spyware, adware and ransomware.

Some of the features set for deployment in 2019 are antivirus, virtual private network (VPN) and digital identity protection solutions.

General Catalyst managing director Trevor Oelschig said, “Online security is more complex and important today than ever, and we believe consumers want solutions that make online privacy and security easier and more accessible. Intrusta’s suite of integrated security products will change the face of consumer online security and enable customers to live more carefree digital lives.”
