IntSights, a threat intelligence company, has launched its new Vulnerability Risk Analyzer tool to help security teams better assess external risks.
The new tool adds to InSights External Threat Protection (ETP) suite, giving users up-to-date external intelligence and a risk-based prioritization score. Security teams can assess the risk posed from each common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVE), enabling priorities to be put on patches.
By leveraging integrations with other vulnerability management solutions, an organization’s specific CVEs can be compared with external intelligence and better score the risks. The risk analyser will then rank and manage the various risks and ensure they are dealt it.
Through the new tool, a user can automate control requirements by direct alignment to compliance and data privacy regulations, such as PCI DSS, HIPAA Security Rule, GDPR, CCPA, CIP and more.
IntSights VP product Yaron Paryanty said, “Vulnerability managers suffer from a lack of external threat intelligence data associated with specific CVEs.
“By helping them determine which vulnerabilities are most critical to patch based on clear, deep and dark web intelligence, vulnerability managers will experience significant ROI.”
The service launch comes just months after the cybersecurity company collected $30m in its Series D round which was raised to support its product development.
