GDS Link, a provider of credit risk management software for the financial services industry, has landed an undisclosed investment from Serent Capital.
The San Francisco-based private equity firm, which is focused on investing in fast-growing software and services businesses, said it has backed the company with a minority investment.
Founded in 2006, GDS Link is headquartered in Dallas, Texas with seven international offices including the United Kingdom and Spain. The company helps clients efficiently manage credit risk strategies and improves lending and account management efforts.
GDS provides its services to the financial services, merchant acquirer, telecommunications, energy, retail and transportation sectors. It serves traditional and alternative financial service lending through both brick-and-mortar and online channels, marketplace lending for both consumer and small business, point of sale retail finance, credit card, auto, and leasing.
Paul Greenwood, president and chief executive officer of GDS Link, said: “We decided that this was the perfect time for us to bring in a partner, and we believe Serent Capital is the ideal investor to help us accelerate our growth strategy.
“Serent Capital aligns with GDS Link’s core values, has deep financial technology experience, and brings the resources to bear that will enable continued innovation and unparalleled value to our customers.”
GDS Link’s DataView360 was developed to ease the integration with external and internal data sources, such as credit bureaus, fraud and ID verification providers. The software product is configurable to allow its customers to pick and choose the data they require within their processes for instant decisioning.
DataView360’s Case Management interface supports originations, account review, fraud mitigation and collections, while the Business Rule Management System (BRMS) within the platform’s Credit Decisioning Engine allows new risk strategies to be rapidly tested and deployed by the minds that developed them.
Its Credit Bureau Software Solutions empowers the bureau operator to make rapid changes to the software in order to satisfy ever-changing business requirements.
“GDS has created a unique platform that is now used globally across the financial services landscape,” stated Lance Fenton, partner at Serent Capital. “We are excited about the opportunity to collaborate with Paul and the experienced team at GDS Link, and we look forward to the company’s continued growth and success.”
