Cynomi, the trailblazer in virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) platforms, has successfully secured $20m in a new funding round.
The investment was spearheaded by Canaan and supported by Flint Capital, s16vc, and Aloniq, who are returning to reinvest, demonstrating strong confidence in Cynomi’s strategic direction and market potential. This round of funding is expected to catalyse the company’s next phase of international growth.
At its core, Cynomi operates a vCISO platform that provides Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) with advanced tools to offer structured cybersecurity services. The platform leverages AI and expert cybersecurity knowledge to automate and enhance security tasks, making high-level security accessible and affordable for SMEs.
The new capital will be used to expand Cynomi’s market presence worldwide and enhance its vCISO offerings. This strategic infusion of funds aims to empower Cynomi’s partners to bridge the cybersecurity skill gap effectively and scale their operations to meet growing security demands.
Additional details revealed include the company’s ongoing success in operational efficiency and client retention, with over 100 service providers already utilising the vCISO platform. The platform’s ability to standardise and automate security procedures has made it a preferred choice for enhancing cybersecurity measures among SMEs.
