CybeReady, an autonomous cybersecurity training platform for enterprises, has collected $5m in its venture financing round.
Alongside the close of the investment, the RegTech platform has launched its services into the North American market. This new line of equity will be used to drive business growth in the new market, and help it scale.
Baseline Ventures, a seed and growth-stage investor, led the capital injection.
CybeReady uses data science to create an autonomous, fully managed personal training platform designed to train employees on cybersecurity and improve their behaviour towards phishing attacks. The platform gives employees year-round simulations direct to their inbox, growing their skillsets to match real-world attacks.
Advice is given automatically, showing a user where they missed signals or things they could improve upon.
Its services are used by financial instructions, insurance firms, healthcare organisations, and government bodies, spanning 66 countries.
CybeReady CEO Shlomi Gian said, “The increasing gap between demand for effective cybersecurity training and dated products is mind-blowing.
“Vendors ignore the disturbing fact that the majority of data breaches start with emails and keep promoting solutions that do not change employee behaviour. CybeReady is the only solution that guarantees behavioural change by leveraging data science and machine learning to train the entire workforce on a monthly basis throughout the year. After serving hundreds of customers in highly regulated markets, we are ready to take US cybersecurity training to the next level.”
Employees are an integral part in preventing cyberattacks and the more educated in the area they are, the better a firm can protect themselves. Interest in educational platforms are on the rise.
Just this week, fellow cybersecurity training and simulation business KnowBe4 closed a $300m round which valued it at $1bn. The round was led by Elephant and TenEleven Ventures.
