Attila Security, a network and data security service, has collected $750,000 in Series A funding.
The round was led by Maryland Venture Fund, with additional contributions coming from Bull City Venture Partners and Blu Venture Investors.
Founded in 2018, the company helps organisations ensure their networks and data are protected. Its platform is designed to offer visibility, control and threat defence across physical, virtual and cloud applications.
Its GoSilent solution is a portable VPN firewall security appliance which claims to be the first line of defence for IP endpoints.
The cybersecurity company previously raised $2.5m in a funding round back in 2018. DataTribe led the round, with contributions also coming from Bull City Venture Partners and TEDCO’s Seed Fund.
Maryland Venture Fund interim managing director Elizabeth Good-Mazhari said, ”The MVF investment in Attila demonstrates our renewed focus on investing in companies where our dollars can have a meaningful impact on a company’s ability to scale and hire in an industry sector which is critical to Maryland’s long-term economic development.
“It also represents our ability to continue to fund early-stage companies through their most critical stages – from seed through Series A – alongside a robust network of regional investors.”
