Cybersecurity platform Anvilogic scores $10m in Series A funding

Anvilogic, a cybersecurity detection automation company, has scored $10m in its Series A funding round.

The round was led by Cervin Ventures, with commitments also coming from Foundation Capital, Point 72 Ventures and angel investor Dan Warmenhoven.

This capital injection will be used to scale its go-to-market efforts and its research and development.

Anvilogic provides organisations with a map and directions to navigate their unique security landscapes, making it easier to automate security operations and reduce risk. The company claims to be the only security detection automation platform that offers AI-driven insights and recommendations to measure and improve threat detection coverage.

It claims current security operations are broken due to underlying tools, like SIEM, not delivering their promise to provide the necessary domain-specific automated workflows.

Anvilogic CEO and founder Karthik Kannan said, “After decades working in the security space, it became clear to me that the tools companies have been trusting for their security are actually doing them a disservice. Most SIEM and SOAR tech is 10-15 years old and hasn’t kept up with the fast-evolving threat landscape or the corresponding changes in human operations within SOCs.

“Anvilogic is addressing a problem in SOCs that no tool currently solves because tools only add more noise and make operations siloed. Anvilogic brings seamless automation workflow to the SOC, thus eliminating the disjointed nature of today’s tools and processes, empowering security experts with relevant threat-detecting & enriched resolution capabilities.”
