Cybersecurity company MixMode secures $4m in its funding round

MixMode has collected $4m in its funding round which will go towards expanding its network traffic analytics platform.

The capital injection was led by Entrada Ventures, with additional support coming from previous MixMode backers Keshif Ventures and Blu Venture Investors.

With the fresh funds, the cybersecurity company hopes to enhance it’s AI-powered capabilities and fuel the growth of its global customer and partner network.

A report from Ponemon Institute claimed that over 75% of successful cyberattacks on organisation endpoints were down to zero-day attacks. These types of attacks cannot be identified by threat intelligence, as they rely on historical threats and not brand new tactics. MixMode aims to help identify zero-day attacks in real-time.

Its AI technology combines network data, public cloud data and feeds from existing security tools such as endpoint, firewall, and SIEM. The platform uses an advanced unsupervised learning model which is capable of establishing network baseline and predict the network’s future activity and better identify emerging threats.

MixMode CEO John Keister said, “Large enterprise security teams urgently need a solution to identify zero-day threats. Our predictive analytics platform is solving this massive problem for clients today. We are excited to continue our growth path and we are fortunate to be working with an experienced partner like Entrada on our journey.”
