Commvault, a prominent provider of cyber resilience and data protection solutions, has unveiled significant expansions to its cyber and data security ecosystem.
This strategic move comes through new integrations with several leading security partners, including Acante, Dasera, Google Cloud, Splunk, and Wiz.
The newly announced integrations are set to enhance Commvault’s ability to support its customers in strengthening their cyber resilience. By working with partners such as Acante, Dasera, Google Cloud, Splunk, and Wiz, Commvault aims to provide comprehensive solutions that span on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
These integrations are designed to help customers identify potential threats, understand where sensitive data is located, and accelerate the recovery process following a cyberattack. Furthermore, these bi-directional integrations allow customers to use their preferred security, data protection, and cyber recovery solutions, enhancing their ability to defend against threats and recover confidently.
The timing of these integrations is critical, as highlighted by a recent study commissioned by Commvault and conducted by GigaOm. The study reveals that only 13% of organisations are fully prepared to defend against and recover from cyberattacks, and only 54% express complete confidence in their recovery capabilities.
Commvault’s chief product officer, Rajiv Kottomtharayil, emphasised the company’s dedication to advancing security measures through strategic collaborations.
Kottomtharayil stated, “Commvault is committed to partnering with industry leaders in cyber security, data security posture management (DSPM), and artificial intelligence (AI) with one goal in mind – to help customers advance their security posture. It takes a village to fight today’s cyber threats, and through these integrations, we help enable our customers to build a bridge towards true organizational resilience.”
Each integration brings a unique strength to Commvault’s offering. Acante’s data access governance solution, for instance, simplifies secure access to critical data in modern data and AI clouds, while Dasera’s DSPM solutions enhance data security by automating security and governance for sensitive data.
Google Threat Intelligence provides comprehensive threat visibility powered by AI, offering actionable insights that bolster an organisation’s proactive defence capabilities. Splunk’s advanced data analytics platform enhances threat detection and response capabilities, providing real-time operational intelligence, and Wiz delivers a consolidated cloud security platform that offers enhanced clarity and context for cloud security.
