Aon unveils D&O Risk Analyzer for better data-driven decision making

Aon, a leading global professional services firm, has unveiled its latest product, the Directors and Officers (D&O) Risk Analyzer.

The new product was developed in response to rising litigation, increasing defence costs, equity market volatility, and evolving regulatory frameworks.

These factors have made it more challenging for risk managers to assess D&O liability and ensure protection for corporate officers and board directors.

Aon, which provides a broad range of risk, retirement, and health solutions, is well known for helping clients navigate an increasingly complex risk landscape.

The firm’s primary focus is on delivering innovative risk management solutions through its diverse services, which include risk, reinsurance, retirement, and health offerings. It helps businesses around the world reduce risk and unlock growth opportunities.

The newly launched D&O Risk Analyzer provides risk managers with real-time analytics, allowing them to quantify and forecast potential executive losses. By offering insights into risk retention, risk transfer, and maximising the value of insurance, it ensures that businesses can mitigate exposure to adverse events such as stock price volatility and regulatory matters.

The tool’s real-time data capabilities also provide loss models to help predict the magnitude of D&O losses based on current and historical data.

Key features of the D&O Risk Analyzer include real-time risk adjustments, exposure and loss modelling, stock price drop analysis, and visualisations of the total cost of risk (TCOR). These functionalities give clients access to actionable insights that enhance decision-making and streamline communication with senior executives.

Additionally, this launch follows the 2024 introduction of Aon’s Property Risk Analyzer and Casualty Risk Analyzer. Aon plans to release more tools in the coming months to address a broader range of risks, further enhancing its suite of data-driven analytics solutions.

Joe Peiser, global CEO of Commercial Risk Solutions for Aon, commented, “Aon’s D&O Risk Analyzer exemplifies our firm’s commitment to serve clients as they make data-informed decisions. As the risk landscape grows more complex, we will continue to provide actionable analytics solutions that enable our clients to confidently assess risks and insurance offerings.”

Timothy Fletcher, CEO of Aon’s financial services group, added, “Rising litigation and defence costs, equity market volatility and shifting regulatory frameworks have added complexity for corporate officer risks. It is more important than ever for risk managers to assess D&O liability and the role of insurance in protecting public officers and board directors. Our D&O Risk Analyzer, together with Aon’s brokers, provide a holistic analysis of the D&O risk landscape, helping clients make better decisions.”
