CFTC approves Small Exchange as new futures exchange for individual traders

The US regulator the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has approved the Small Exchange as a contract market exchange.

“Here at the Small Exchange we are thrilled to have received our designation and I commend the Smalls team and the CFTC staff for their hard work and dedication in moving through this process,” said Donnie Roberts, president and CEO of the Small Exchange.

“Our stated goal at the Small Exchange is to bring more participants to the futures markets. Now we have our chance. With the CFTC designation, we can bring opportunity for capital efficient risk management, short-term trading and long-term investment with products that are small, standard and simple.”

The new status means that the Small Exchange is now one step closer to reaching its goal of bridging the gap between equities and futures for investors of all sizes.
