Smart security camera startup Rhombus Systems has secured $10m in capital from a Series A funding round.
The Series A was led by Cota Capital and also witnessed participation from MSD Ventures, Promus Ventures and Lemnos Labs. Following this round, Rhombus has raised a total of $20m in funding since inception.
Founded in 2016, Rhombus Systems is a customisable physical security platform that enables enterprise organisations to easily build a solution to meet their unique needs.
Rhombus provides its users with smart security cameras and sensors that seamlessly integrate with best-in-class solutions. With the Rhombus platform, organisations can see, manage, and respond to critical events in real-time.
The cameras are cloud-based, centrally managed, AI-backed security systems that are designed to protect company facilities, school districts, city governments and healthcare providers.
According to Rhombus, the newly raised funding will be used primarily in research and development as well as in sales team expansion.
