Theta Lake widens Zoom alliance to offer free integrated archiving service

RegTech firm Theta Lake has revealed its partnership with Zoom Video Communications will be expanded to provide a free version of Theta’s archive to Zoom customers.

The archive enables compliance with various regulatory requirements to Zoom customers. According to Theta, the partnership will make it easier for Zoom customers to adopt and experience the benefits of Theta’s archive.

So far, the partnership between the two parties has seen Theta provide security and compliance innovations for Zoom, including coverage across Zoom Meetings, Zoom Chat and Zoom Phone with practical archiving capabilities that enable regulated organisations to enable more Zoom functionality by selectively archiving any component of content. Theta has also delivered technology to detect and review visual content risks, detect and manage risks in user configurations of Zoom, detect information barrier and ethical wall violations, provide a timeline investigation view across chat and documents shared within chat and flagging risky participants across all Zoom communication types.

Theta said it has partnered with Zoom to offer Zoom customers free access to more advanced and efficent data retention, search and content review capabilities for compliance, risk and legal teams. Zoom customers can selectively archive meetings, voice, chat, in-meeting chat, polling and Q&A communications for up to 30 days at no cost.

Through the new integrations, Theta will provide archiving and full analysis and supervision for all video, voice and chat meeting content. There will also be the ability to provide selective archiving of just the chat polling or Q&A in a meeting for compliance purposes. Real-time compliance coaching and resources for employees in live meetings will be provided, as well as supervision, archiving and third-party archive integration for chat as well as advance timeline search across chat conversations and document sharing across chats. Archiving and third-party archive integration for Zoom Phone is also enabled.

Theta Lake SVP Anthony Cresci said, “By continuing to provide seamless integration with Zoom’s platforms for AI-based compliance and archiving, we’re helping to make secure and compliant communications accessible to a multitude of industries globally, which has resulted in an influx of customer adoption. Zoom has become integral to workplaces as they find new ways to connect and collaborate. safely and effectively. We’re thrilled to take our partnership to the next level, expanding our reach beyond the FinServ industry and validation as a key natively integrated partner.”

Zoom group product manager for enterprise and FinServ Adi Regev added, “Zoom has been dedicated in delivering security and enabling compliance for customers, and part of that is delivering market leading API and integration capabilities for best-in-class tools like Theta Lake. In addition to our native Zoom capabilities we are happy to see the consistent innovation Theta Lake delivers as a complement. The free archive makes it even easier for Zoom customers to get even more out of the Zoom platform with value and added peace of mind from dedicated compliance and security vendors like Theta Lake.”
