Stripe, a leader in financial infrastructure for businesses, has announced an enhanced collaboration with NVIDIA, a pioneer in AI and accelerated computing, to further develop artificial intelligence capabilities and advance fraud detection for its clients.
This partnership aims to increase global access to NVIDIA’s extensive AI platform, including GPUs and AI software, by allowing developers and enterprises to prepay for selected NVIDIA cloud services.
Stripe has long utilized NVIDIA’s technology, particularly in training its machine learning models and enhancing its service offerings such as the Optimized Checkout Suite and Stripe Radar.
The Optimized Checkout Suite enables companies like OpenAI, Slack, and River Island to optimize their checkout processes by using AI to select the most suitable payment methods for different customers. Similarly, Stripe Radar employs NVIDIA’s AI platform to improve the accuracy and speed of its fraud detection capabilities.
Additionally, Stripe has introduced several new features aimed at enhancing AI product functionality. These include usage-based billing to manage inference costs, Link for improving checkout conversions, and expanded support for local payment methods.
Stripe cofounder and CEO Patrick Collison said, “At Stripe, we’ve been busy building a bunch of functionality that’s useful for AI products generally, including usage-based billing to handle inference costs, Link for higher-converting checkouts, and support for a lot more local payment methods since these products are typically global from day one. Stripe Billing, in particular, has seen major uptake by AI companies.”
NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang stated, “AI is advancing at an incredible pace, with enterprises worldwide racing to incorporate its value into their everyday business operations.
“Stripe was an early pioneer of NVIDIA’s AI platform and, now, is an industry leader enabling businesses worldwide to use AI to develop new engines for growth.”
