Cybersecurity company Stairwell has bagged $4.5m in a seed round led by Accel.
Sequoia Capital, Gradient Ventures, Allen & Company and a smattering of angel investors also supported the raise, according to Help Net Security.
The company will use the money to better protect businesses against breaches.
The founder of Google’s Threat Analysis Group Mike Wiacek serves as the founder and CEO of Stairwell.
“Security teams today are beholden to siloed tools that cannot identify ambient connections between their external and internal data sources and provide only baseline level protection against generic threats,” said Wiacek when speaking with Help Net Security.
