Debt crowdfunding platform ECrowd! has raised €307,900 through an equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube.
The Spanish crowdlending platform aims to allow investors to earn passive income by investing in transparent projects with a positive social impact.
The round attracted 135 private investors with ECrowd! offering 10.24% of the capital of the company.
The largest single investment was a €76,000 pledge from a private professional investor.
The round’s initial target of €250,000 was met in two weeks and the round eventually closed 23% overfunded 18 days after launch.
This is the second round raised by the Barcelona-based company on Crowdcube with it previously picking up €154,000 from 48 investors on the platform in September 2015.
Company CEO and co-founder Matthieu van Haperen said the company attempts to leverage, “three fundamental trends of the financial disintermediation through fintech, the collaborative economy and the need for sustainable development and transition to a low carbon economy.”
He added: “With this round, we now have the means to scale it and really lead the transformation towards sustainable, responsible and profitable collaborative finance.”
