Signal AI bags $25m in Series C round

London-based Signal AI has raised $25m to expand its media monitoring platform to help businesses spot risks and opportunities, including ensuring regulatory compliance.

Venture capital firm Redline Capital led the Series C round. MMC Ventures, GMG Ventures and Hearst Ventures also participated, according to TechCrunch.

Signal AI has developed a platform that enables businesses to monitor what is said about them in the media. This empowers them to better manage their reputation and to be more risk aware. It also allows them to stay abreast of any regulatory changes that may affect their business model.

For instance, it helps Deloitte stay updated in changes in tax codes.

MMC Ventures led Red Sift’s, the cognitive data platform that provides cloud-based email security solutions, $8.8m Series A investment round in September.

In early October, Hearst Ventures participated in AI technology startup SparkCognition’s $175m funding round.
