Secureframe, which offers automated compliance software for SOC 2 and ISO 27001, has netted $4.5m in its seed round.
The investment was co-led by Base10 Partners and Gradient Ventures. Additional support came from BoxGroup, Village Global, Soma Capital, Liquid2, Chapter One, Worklife Ventures, and Backend Capital.
Proceeds from the round will enable the RegTech startup to support the launch of its technology.
Secureframe offers automated compliance audits and ongoing compliance monitoring, empowering companies to reach SOC 2 compliance within weeks, it claims. To reach SOC 2 compliance typically takes six to 12 months, Secureframe said, with companies needing to regularly revisit systems to ensure compliance and complete regular audits.
The Secureframe solution monitors platforms including AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Github, JAMF, and Okta. It will also continuously collect audit evidence, run security awareness training, manage security questionnaires and monitor infrastructure.
Secureframe co-founder and CTO Natasja Nielsen said, “With scale comes complexity. Every time a company adds a new employee, customer, or vendor, compliance overhead increases.
“But being complicated doesn’t have to go hand-in-hand with being difficult. Secureframe is making SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance simple. Secureframe’s software guides companies to get compliant, complete audits, and monitor controls intelligently.”
