SCYTHE rakes in Series A as it eyes sales and marketing growth

SCYTHE, which designs adversarial emulation to help companies combat cyberattacks, has collected $10m in its Series A.

The investment round was led by Gula Tech Ventures and Paladin Capital Group, with capital also coming from Energy Impact Partners (EIP). As part of the deal, a member of EIP’s management team will join SCYTHE as a board observer.

With the close of the round, SCYTHE is set to expand its engineering, sales and marketing, and customer service operations.

SCYTHE empowers security teams to build and emulate real-world cybersecurity threats in minutes, helping them validate the risk posture of their business and employees.

A client can browse through a list of industry threats and then customise them into a personalised, simulated cyberattack. They can then launch the campaign against their system to assess the strength of their protections. Users can view, control and analyse endpoints in real-time and use this to improve remediation strategies.

EIP managing partner Harry Giovani said, “Security teams are struggling to validate the efficacy of security tools and are experiencing significant tech sprawl. SCYTHE’s agentless approach helps security teams validate the efficacy of such tools and justify spend.

“We’re very excited to partner with the Scythe team and look forward to helping them bring their technology to critical infrastructure sectors.”
