Rosenthal Collins Group (RCG), an independent futures brokerage and clearing firm, has partnered with RegTech software business Eventus Systems.
The firm said it has deployed Eventus’ Validus platform for its trade surveillance needs. It has chosen the cloud version of the platform for its compliance officers to monitor trading activity and watch for any potential regulatory issues.
RCG director of compliance Tom Mallers said: “We looked at a lot of trade surveillance vendors for the industry, and Eventus offered us a powerful solution with Validus. The cloud-based platform is easy to use and flexible, and we’ve been able to achieve significant cost savings while meeting our objectives.”
Headquartered in Austin, Texas Eventus provides its RegTech software to capital markets organizations, including Tier 1 banks, brokerages and futures commission merchants (FCMs), proprietary trading firms, exchanges, corporates and buy-side firms.
Its flagship Validus surveillance and risk software platform provides efficient risk management and surveillance, spanning the front, middle and back office. Through multi-stream data reconciliation, Validus offers a high-performance, scalable platform that was built and battle-tested in the toughest market conditions.
Since deploying the solution, RCG requested a new feature for Validus, and Eventus made the change promptly – benefiting not only RCG but all Eventus clients who want to use it. Earlier this year, Eventus Systems established a presence in the Asia Pacific Region. The company said the decision to create a presence follows growth throughout 2017 in the firm’s client base, as well as regulatory requirements in multiple jurisdictions that have created a demand for its solutions. Representing Eventus is Ariel Almeda, a capital markets professional with more than 27 years of sales and service experience in technology and financial markets as well as more than a decade in the region.
