Cybersecurity platform Recorded Future has closed a $25m Series E funding round led by Insight Venture Partners.
Alongside Insight, several security companies took part in the funding round including Cylance, DarkTrace, and Firemon.
Recorded Future is a SaaS threat intelligence solution, that provides automated, contextual and relevance information to help security teams fight cyber threats. The platform collates open, technical and dark web sources in real time to deliver analytics and alerts.
The solution is used in a range of sectors including financial services, government, healthcare, retail and energy. For financial services Recorded future enables businesses to gain insights on emerging attacks and potential breeches. Its real-time solution also enables them to identify new attack methods, uncover compromised payment cards, leaked customer data and corporate credentials.
Capital raised in this round will support the company’s growth and its international expansion. Part of the equity will also be used to continue the development of its machine learning intelligence and research product.

Last month cybersecurity startup Militus secured an undisclosed investment from CyberSEC3. Also last month cybersecurity platform Attivo Networks netted $21m in its Series C, which was led by Trident Capital Cybersecurity.
