Peer-to-peer lending platform RAIZE has received a €10m investment from Banco BNI Europa.
The company will receive the funding over the course of two years.
Portugal-based RAIZE is an alternative finance source for businesses, allowing people to offer direct loans to Portuguese companies.
So far, the company counts more than 7,000 investors, with each contributor allowed to agree their own commitment size and the interest rate.
The investment will be used to boost SME lending in 2017, with the company looking to deploy around €20m to micro and small Portuguese companies this year.
