Revenue operations and intelligence platform People.ai has hit a $1.1bn valuation after it closed a $100m Series D funding round.
Akkadian Ventures managing director Mike Dinsdale and Mubadala Capital partner Abdulla AlBanna co-led the investment. Additional support came from existing backers ICONIQ Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners.
Funds from the round will be used to deepen its SmartData platform and expand into new industry segments and geographies.
The company’s SmartData Foundation platform provides businesses with revenue operations and intelligence services. It leverages AI technology to improve the use of email, meetings and contacts to increase sales rep productivity and bolster revenue growth opportunities.
Its platform is also used for security and compliance processes. The service auto-populates GTM systems with business activity from prospect and customer interactions as well as cataloguing historical engagements. The data is then put through GDPR, CASL and CCPA compliance processes.
Over the past year, the company experienced 260% increased in customer growth. Its clients include AppDynamics, DataRobot, Ivanti, Okta and Zoom.
AlBanna said, “On rare occasions, we come across a company that will forever change how we work.
“People.ai stands above the competition in its ability to transform people’s processes across an entire organization. By applying breakthrough AI technology to vast data sets, People.ai is significantly improving efficiencies of enterprise processes, increasing productivity and performance across workflows. We’re proud to co-lead this investment in People.ai as they deliver on a vision to fundamentally change the next era of innovation in B2B software.”
People.ai recently named Ankit Bhatia as its SVP of engineering. In this position, Bhatia will lead innovation efforts.
