PACE Anti-Piracy launches data protection tool for banks, PSPs

PACE Anti-Piracy has launched a new data protection and application protection tool for banks, payment service providers (PSPs), schemes and other financial institutions.

White-Box Works gives a customer complete and independent control over protected code, ensuring encryption keys and proprietary algorithms never leave the customer’s premises. The tool can transform any C-code into a protected white-box variant in a single step, giving it greater flexibility, security and efficiency.

By giving it a high-level of internal control, PACE claims firms have greater operational efficiency as they can build applications at their own pace, rather than waiting for a vendor’s build schedule.

It claims the tool was designed to defeat a range of sophisticated attacks, including those involving reverse engineering, fault injection and advanced statistical analysis.

PACE Anti-Piracy Allen Cronce, CEO said, “White-Box Works represents a significant step forward in the encryption protection space, and will give banks, PSPs, schemes, and other financial sector users greater confidence in the security of their sensitive data.

“We’re also delighted to accompany the launch with news of White-Box Works’ EMVCo SBMP evaluation certificate and are grateful to Riscure’s talented penetration testers. The entire Riscure team has been a pleasure to work with throughout the rigorous EMVCo evaluation process.”
