Blockchain security company NIGMA Conseil and the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology are working together to better fight cryptocurrency and financial crime.
NIGMA and AIT have been collaborating for several months to enhance NIGMA’s blockchain analytics and anti-money laundering (AML) capabilities by building on AIT’s open source cryptocurrency forensics platform.
The e-NIGMA solution is a blockchain forensics tool for know your customer KYC/AML compliance, transaction monitoring and due diligence investigations.
NIGMA Conseil CEO Fabien Tabarly said, “The synergy between a leading European academic research institute and our team of developers has been instrumental in implementing the most innovative tools to fight financial crime in virtual currencies.”
Earlier in the month, Abu Dhabi revealed new changes to its digital currency regulation to improve compliance procedures. While Estonia, revealed new rules which will be implemented in the coming months to boost anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing processes.
