N26 taps into Siri for voice-activated transfers

N26 is making good us of Apple’s latest update to its iOS mobile operating system that gives developers access to its voice activated assistant Siri.

The Berlin-based challenger bank will now allow customers to transfer money to their contacts with simple voice commands.

The transfers are limited to €25 per transaction and €100 a day.

The company will also tap into the Apple iMessage service to let users request money.

N26 says it is the first German bank to offer voice-controlled payments.

Other fintech services such as Square and UK challenger bank Monzo also plan to tap into Siri now that it is open to developers.
