Singapore-based MoneySmart has reportedly raised $10.1m in a Series B funding round, with Kakaku.com leading the investment.
Founded in 2009, MoneySmart is a personal finance platform, helping customers compare insurance, bank accounts, loans and credit cards.
Kakaku is a Japanese online service provider, with operations in fashion, entertainment and real estate sectors.
According to media reports, the capital will be used to help launch MoneySmart into new markets in Asia Pacific, as well as developing further in Singapore and Indonesia.
The company’s team size will also increase, with new developers, content writers and marketing specialists set to be hired.
MoneySmart received $1.96m in its Series A investment round in 2015, led by SPH Media Fund, making the total capital received around $12m.
