Digital identity verification platform Mitek has teamed with Biocryptology to boost biometric authentication.
Through the partnership, Mitek will deploy its ID verification software to Biocryptology, to help it ensure biometric credentials are assigned to the correct person when they are onboarded.
Mitek’s Mobile Verify solution will be able to verify the identity of a consumer when they are onboarded, without the need of being presented any document in person. Instead, a consumer can be authenticated on the same device their using and at the same time biometric data is captured. This is being done to ensure the correct data is being locked to the same person.
Biocryptology has created a biometric identification platform which empowers users to authenticate themselves online via a mobile or desktop platform, as well as, in-person. Its solution can be used for access to physical places such as property, cars, etc.
Users can also use the biometrics to enter a number of online and digital services, such as money transfers, payments, e-commerce sites, banking transactions, and loyalty programs.

Mitek’s identity verification solutions allow an enterprise to verify a user’s identity during a digital transaction.
The company’s platform is utilised by financial institutions, payments companies and other businesses operating in highly regulated markets to mitigate financial risk and meet regulatory requirements while increasing revenue from digital channels. It also reduces the friction in the users’ experience with advanced data prefill and automation of the onboarding processes.
Earlier in the year, Mitek partnered with DXE, a newly launched cryptocurrency trading platform, to provide automated ID verification.
