Messagepoint, a provider of customer communication management software, has received an investment from NewSpring.
The capital injection will be used to support the growth of its research and development efforts and bolstering its sales and marketing functions to support outside growth.
Canada-based Messagepoint provides businesses with controls to build personalised, relevant and timely customer communications. Its services are used in heavily regulated industries such as financial services, insurance and healthcare.
Through its hybrid-cloud solution, it is able to build optimised communication channels with customers, across print, mobile, email and the web. Its CCM platform utilises machine learning and AI technology to ensure a customer is directed through the correct channel.
In the financial services space, clients can leverage Messagepoint to improve customer communications for interactions around investment, wealth management, retirement, banking, statements, loyalty programs, reports, and new products, among others.
NewSpring principal Brian Kim said, “Businesses are seeking innovative solutions that make content creation easy and intuitive, and that require significantly less professional IT involvement.
“Messagepoint offers exactly this and allows the enterprise to regain control over their customer communications and experiences. We look forward to partnering with CEO Steve Biancaniello and the entire dedicated team at Messagepoint to further grow this already successful brand.”
Last month, Canada’s government established an advisory committee around open banking which will look into the ‘potential and pitfalls’ around the initiative.
The committee is made of four members and will examine results of a consultation with stakeholders and will compile a report around how open banking could impact Canada, with a focus on privacy, security and financial stability.
