Incident response and risk management company Crypsis has released its Illuminator service, a data analytics and intelligence tool.
The new solution combines machine learning technology, manual review and extraction services with Crypsis’ deep data privacy knowledge and data breach notification service. It can identify personally identifiable information (PII), protected health information (PHI) and other sensitive information which is exposed in a data breach.
After a breach, a company needs to identify what information might have been exposed, the Illuminator tool will help lower the amount of manual work needed in conducting this investigation.
The solution was built in partnership with data breach response software CanopyCo and legal solution builder Integreon.
Crypsis director and data analytics practice leader Brittany Roush said, “Ninety-five percent of the false-positive hits that are typically identified in eDiscovery-based approaches are eliminated upfront and never make it to human review, saving thousands of dollars in review costs, not to mention time.
“This service will remove much of the burden of the discovery process, while our quality control steps at every stage provide confidence in the accuracy and defensibility of results.”
CanopyCo leverages machine learning technology to help detect, extract and resolve non-public and protected data after business email compromises and other online incidents. In the Illuminator service, it will help reduce the number of documents falsely sent for human review.
Integreon enables incident response professionals to review and extract sensitive information to create a consolidation entity list.
