Face biometric verification dev iProov teams with Microblink

Face biometric verification and authentication technology developer iProov has partnered with AI-powered computer vision software provider Microblink.

Through the partnership, the duo will provide a biometric- and document-based identity verification solution to organisations worldwide.

It will combine Microblink’s AI-powered identity document scanning with iProov’s biometric face verification. Through this, organisations will be able to fully onboard new customers through an easy-to-use process without impacting fraud protection.

Speaking on the partnership, iProov chief product & innovation officer Joe Palmer said, “As consumer demand for digital identity services grows exponentially, organisations must stay a step ahead of the evolving and sophisticated threats to online verification systems.

“Together, iProov and Microblink provide an integrated solution that protects organisations against online fraud, while safeguarding consumers’ digital identity.”

iProov’s face biometric verification and authentication services are used to confirm someone online is the right person and they are real. Its Genuine Presence Assurance and Liveness Assurance technologies offer the highest levels of security to prevent fraud, identity theft and other cybercrime during the online onboarding, authentication and identity recovery.

Similarly, Microblink’s AI-driven software solution, BlinkID, is capable of seamlessly scanning and extracting data from identity documents. It can scan documents from 138 countries, including driver’s licences, passports, and other government-issued IDs.

Microblink chief operating officer Hartley Thompson said, “We believe that an increasing number of industries are looking for fully automated identity verification solutions that provide the best combination of user experience and fraud protection. Microblink’s partnership with iProov is a powerful offering to meet those needs.”

Earlier in the year, iProov agreed a new partnership to deploy its face biometric authentication to Paxful, a P2P FinTech platform.

This deal will help Paxful onboard users securely by verifying their identity with an ID document, such as a driver’s licence. They then complete a brief face verification to confirm they are who they claim to be.
