Embed Security, a cyber firm specialising in AI-driven threat analysis, has successfully raised $6m in early-stage funding.

This financial boost was led by Paladin Capital Group, known for its focus on cyber and AI security, and supported by several industry executive angel investors.

The company, founded in 2024 by Seth Summersett and Jeffrey Johns, aims to address the challenge of managing the vast quantity of cyber threat alerts that overwhelm even the most sophisticated security teams. Both co-founders bring a rich background from companies like Google, Meta, FireEye, Mandiant, and the NSA, harnessing their expertise to tackle inefficiencies in threat management.

The funds are earmarked for accelerating research and development (R&D), expanding customer engagements, and enhancing the company’s talent pool. With a focus on reducing the manual triaging of security alerts, Embed Security’s platform leverages AI and machine learning techniques to autonomously investigate threats, thereby speeding up response times and allowing security analysts to concentrate on proactive threat hunting and remediation.

Additional features of Embed Security’s platform include scalable, complete threat coverage and autonomous triaging that investigates and prioritizes threats across the entire security stack. This approach not only reduces repetitive tasks for analysts but also enhances the overall effectiveness of the security measures by continuously adapting to new threats.

Mourad Yesayan, Managing Director at Paladin Capital Group and a board member at Embed Security, praised the company’s innovative approach: “The traditional model of heavily relying on human effort to manually triage threats is unsustainable. We’re excited to support Seth and Jeff as they build the next generation of AI-driven technologies for cyber security operations, enabling security teams to be more efficient, proactive, and effective.”

Previously, the technology has been tested with early-access customers in sectors such as automotive, insurance, legal, and technology. Seth Summersett expressed enthusiasm about the funding’s impact, stating, “This funding will help us bring cybersecurity into the next era of AI, empowering organizations to stay ahead of evolving threats with speed, precision, and confidence.”
