Datapipe bets on UK to expand in Europe

US hybrid cloud services provider Datapipe has acquired UK cloud startup Adapt as it expands in Europe.

Adapt is a good fit for Datapipe as it also specialises in hybrid cloud solutions and is an advanced Amazon Web Services (AWS) consulting partner.

Datapipe itself closely involved with AWS and was recently one of the few companies to be included in the AWS Migration Competency programme.

Robb Allen, CEO of the US company, said, “Our similar approach to guiding clients on their cloud journey makes the acquisition a natural fit for us and will increase our scale and service capabilities in the United Kingdom, and the broader European market.”

The new acquisition is another step in Datapipe’s strategy to advance in the management of multiple cloud platforms, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, alongside its own hosted private cloud, Stratosphere.

Last year, Datapipe acquired AWS assessment, automation, and migration company DualSpark.

Based in New Jersey, the hybrid IT provider currently has cloud infrastructure services in the US, Great Britain and China.
