Cybersecurity platform RankedRight closes seed round on $500,000

RankedRight, a new cyber vulnerability ranking company, has closed its seed round on $500,000.

The investment was led by angel investor John Yeo, with other backers including Romeo Capital managing partner Armando Romeo and Deep Instinct VP Sales EMEA Brooks Wallace.

Funds from the round will be used to accelerate its product development and bolster its go to market strategy. This includes a pilot phase, which will see RankedRight select a number of companies to go live with the platform.

RankedRight, which is based in the UK, offers a triage system that follows an IT security team’s pre-set rules to automate vulnerability ranking, in order of impact to the business. Its platform automatically ranks vulnerabilities by rules set by the user, assessing what is critical to the business and delegating the most appropriate person to resolve it.

John Yeo, Lead Investor of the Seed Round, commented, “Cyber is an industry that has no shortage of solutions to edge-case problems. So it’s refreshing to see a credible founder team focussed on building an elegant and simple-to-use solution that solves one of the most widespread cyber security challenges affecting businesses.”

As part of the investment round, chartered accountant Kirsty Bushrod has joined RankedRight as investor director.
