Cyber Sierra, a Singapore-based cyber insurance platform, has reportedly raised $4.3m in its seed funding round.
Leo Capital served as the lead investor, with commitments also coming from AppWorks, Credit Saison, and several unnamed angel investors, according to a report from Tech Node Global.
Funds from the round will help Cyber Sierra launch its business and expand its product suite to better serve risk and compliance needs. Capital has also been earmarked for hiring efforts.
The InsurTech company was founded in 2021 and was created to help businesses bolster their cyber posture and protect themselves from threats.
Its intelligent platform secures businesses from constant threats and embeds insurance offerings. Cyber Sierra scans a surface for vulnerabilities, runs counter-phishing campaigns to trains staff, implements infosec policies and identifies misconfigurations in cloud setups.
Cyber Sierra co-founder Pramodh Rai said, “Our goal is to serve every online business. In current times, cloud native companies have inevitably either already experienced data and security incidents, or will soon. Cyber Sierra aspires to build the best cyber experience for SMEs, offering a full suite of technology, insurance products and solutions to help companies compliantly strengthen their security posture as well as gain access to expert response and comprehensive insurance coverage when needed.”
