Coinigy nabs $400,000 seed round for bitcoin trader tools

Bitcoin trading platform Coinigy has raised $400,000 in seed funding from a single unnamed angel investor.

The Milwaukee-based startup aims to bring bitcoin and other types of cryptocurrency investment to more people through tools designed to make it easier for anyone to open a brokerage account and trade.

Coinigy previously raised $100,000 in March 2015 and says that the new capital will be used to launch an updated version of the platform offering traders real-time charts, data and technical indicators.

The company aims to attract more smaller institutional investors as subscribers to the platform outside of traditional financial hubs.
