Chain Inc links to cryptocurrency-dedicated alliance IC3

Enterprise software developer Chain has joined forces with the Initiative for Cryptocurrency and Contracts (IC3) to advance blockchain development.

The IC3 was launched by a group of higher-education institutions including, Cornell University, Cornell Tech, UC Berkeley, University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign and the Technion.

The initiative looks for industry partners such as Chain who are able to develop the necessary infrastructure to expand the use of blockchain-based software solutions.

The IC3 on its part gives developers access to experts with specialised knowledge in the field, including cryptography, distributed systems, game theory, and programming languages.

Part of the current deal for Chain is to host the IC3 Retreat workshop next February, which is dedicated to identifying current trends in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology and planning future advancements.

Key topics will be privacy, security, performance, and compliance of the specialised software.

Chain has develop solutions at Google, Salesforce, Microsoft, Square, and Heroku. The company works with a number of financial institutions, including Nasdaq, Visa, Citi, Capital One, Orange and Fiserv.
