Incident response technology developer BreachQuest has bagged $4.4m in its seed round, which will support its product launch.
The capital injection was supplied by Slow Ventures, Tinder founders Sean Rad and Justin Mateen, and Lookout founder Kevin Mahaffey.
BreachQuest claims it is building the first modern incident response platform, PRIORI. It claims the technology will make scoping, remediation and recovery experiences more intelligent and seamless.
Funds from the seed round will help accelerate the development and rollout of the technology.
By using its technology, BreachQuest claims organisations will be able to have end-to-end readiness and response capabilities that offer improved visibility for first responders at a breach.
BreachQuest said its technology will combat current industry standards, which take an average of 280 days to detect and 334 to contain.
Lookout founder Kevin Mahaffey said, “The most effective security organizations have embraced automation to defend against ever more sophisticated cyber-attacks.
“Yet, incident response is still largely a manual endeavour. BreachQuest is well positioned to accelerate post-breach response and recovery with their PRIORI platform so that organizations can return to normal as quickly as possible.”
Earlier in the week, fellow incident response technology platform Hunters secured a $30m investment in a Bessemer Ventures led round.
