Betting platform Betfred has revealed it has been working with digital ID verification solutions provider HooYu to bolster its client onboarding solutions.
The deal was made in order for Betfred to comply with the stringent regulations set out by British authorities, according to SBC News.
“HooYu has not only complied with all the requirements from the UK Gambling Commission they have created the best possible KYC process when customer documentation verification is required,” David de la Yesa, director of payments and fraud at Betfred told the news provider.
Hoo Yu previously made the news when it helped London-based FinTech startup Glint comply with the KYC regulations.
London-based easyMoney has also leveraged HooYu ID verification services in the past to verify users and to improve their experience. The news of that partnership came in September 2018 after easyMoney launched a range of ISAs that contain peer-to-peer (P2P) loans where lenders are matched online with borrowers.
