Arctic Wolf Networks, a security operations centre-as-a-service, has acquired RootSecure to improve its cybersecurity risk assessment capabilities.
Through the acquisition of RootSecure, which provides cybersecurity risk assessments, Arctic Wolf is hoping to offer mid-market enterprises with better solutions to monitor their cyber risks and then use the Arctic CyberSOC solution to detect and respond to threats.
Canada-based RootSecure quantifies cyber and data risk to offer real-time actionable insights into the vulnerability of networks, devices or people. The platform continuously scans for risks across the business’ digital operations and utilises anomaly detection and machine learning algorithms to alert users of any new risks.
RootSecure CEO James Mignacca said, “Organizations are constantly challenged to keep up with the proliferation of devices and their inherent vulnerabilities. Locating devices, prioritizing vulnerabilities, and helping to remediate those vulnerabilities helps improve enterprise security hygiene.
“Pairing our continuous vulnerability scanning technology with Arctic Wolf’s SOC-as-a-service offering will enable customers to see a more holistic view of their security posture, in order to more quickly identify any cyber exposure gaps.”
This acquisition comes a couple of months after Arctic closed a $45m Series C round which was led by Future Fund. The capital injection was raised to support its growth and the rising customer demand. Customer growth at Arctic Wolf has risen by 219 per cent year-on-year.
Arctic Wolf can be integrated within existing infrastructures and leverages AI technology for threat detection. The platform offers a concierge team, managed detection and response, SEIM replacement, behavioural analytics, real-time alerting, vulnerability scans and machine learning-powered log analysis.
